In Spanish there are many phrases to describe running fast, most of them involving animals. Here’s another one: “correr como una flecha”, which means “to run like an arrow”.

Here are two sayings that are similar, but just a little bit different in English and Spanish. In English our stomachs “rumble”. In Spanish they bark, as in “Me ladra el estomago”. When we have a confrontation with someone we are said “To cross swords”. In Spanish we would “measure lances” as in “Medir lanzas con alguien”.
